Talk on Root Shintō
Event announcement
Root Shintō
(a talk on basic concepts of shintō their meaning and origin)
5th July 7:45 AM in http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Royal%20Domain/55/228/28
Shintō is just an artificial term invented in Heian period in order to distinguish local autochtonic beliefs from Buddhism and Taoism. This term was invented according to Chinese samples: in Chinese culture there are many doctrines, each of which is called as "a way something".
As far as Chinese culture is culture of written signs, many doctrines and concepts can be pretty fully expressed in written signs and through them can gradually be pretty fully acquired. Due to this gradual acquiring appears the analogy of "way", i.e. gradually moving to a certain aim. Actually Shintō is not a "way", it is not a systematic religion/tradition but is just a heap of rather amorphous so called "atmospheric cults."
It is possible to single out some basic concepts which are common for all traditions belonging to Shintō. These basic concepts are: tamashii/tama 魂 “vital energy”/”soul energy” and kami 神 “a super human being”. Both of these concepts are traced back to Ainu concepts ramat – “soul exists” and kamuy “super human being”.
Tamashii penetrates by the whole world and fills everything, fills all beings and all things. All beings and things are endowed tamashii in different degrees: some have a lot of tamashii but some have little. It is good to have a lot of tama. More tamashii you have more mighty you are. Kami have a lot of tamashii and can endow tamashii 魂 or take it away. Therefore the purpose of any rite of Shintō is to save present tamashii and get more: in order to save present tamashii and get more it is need to contact with kami.

Step by step Ainu state comes true in Second Life
Ainu state in Second Life step by step comes true.
Three days ago I visited Kurogawa Machi sim and directors of the sim (Xavii Zahm and Tai Yoshiyuki) told me that they were very interested in Ainu but knew very little of them so they offered me to teach people there about Ainu culture and kindly permitted me to set up Ainu settling pon their sim.
Right now there are a tateana (house of neolithic epoch/winter house) and traditional Ainu bear cage in the Second Life Ainu territory.
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Aosagi/30/213/28
And now a continuation:
Tai suddenly told me to detach flag. he told that as far as they have medieval sim there should be no modern things. well. I insisted that flag is an important point for Ainu cause it's a marker that the settling ain't just ethnographical village of kanko Ainu but a true Ainu territory. But they were narrow minded weaboo who read just one and a half book on Japan and consider wiki as a serious resourse. finally I had to pick up all my stuff and moved to
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Besiope/145/176/121
if Ainu flag is erected it never should be down.
P.S. also I am to note that there are the same project in SL where modern flags coexist with a reconstruction of traditional settlings, for example Maori village.

Instrument attached to my back is tonkori real Ainu tonkori. I was really wonder having found it in SL. This tonkori of SL is much alike that of RL though has only three melodies one of which ain't original Ainu.
Here I am playing tonkori in my gallery:
And here is the shop where I bought tonkori (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Uguisu/74/221/25)
It's a good music instruments shop. All items are pretty realistic and ain't expensive.
